The man from Blyth saw his dreams come true after he opened the scoring in the 2-1 win at Wembley on Sunday as the Magpies secured their first domestic trophy in 70 years. Less than a day later, he joined up with the Three Lions for international duty and was caught on camera watching the match back alongside former Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson.

After being notified by Henderson that he was being filmed on camera, Burn joked: "I haven't just turned up for that I swear."

The Carabao Cup triumph marked Burn's first major piece of silverware, which will come as a huge relief for the 32-year-old. Newcastle's local lad has undoubtedly marked his name in the history books and will be viewed as a hero in his hometown for the rest of his life.
