Romelu Lukaku arrived in Italy amid chaotic scenes as the Chelsea striker was mobbed by fans ahead of completing his move to Napoli.

The Belgian striker is on the verge of completing his transfer to the 2022-23 Serie A champions as Chelsea have agreed to let him leave for €30m (£25m), with add-ons and bonuses on top that could make the final deal worth €45m. Lukaku travelled to Italy on Wednesday to undergo his medical before formally completing his move. When the striker reached the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome for his tests, he was mobbed by a sea of Napoli fans. The scene soon turned chaotic as a supporter fell to the ground, however, Lukaku quickly held out his hand and got him back on his feet.

While the former Inter and Manchester United forward is on his way to join Gli Azzurri, while the Blues are reportedly in talks to bring Victor Osimhen the other way. Per Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea submitted an official offer with Osimhen's agent Roberto Calenda and they are now expected to initiate formal talks with the Serie A side.

The 31-year-old centre-forward, who began his journey as a professional at Anderlecht in Belgium, is all set to appear for the eighth club in his 15-year-long career after seeing a turbulent three-year spell at Chelsea draw to a close. Lukaku is all set to reunite with former Inter boss Antonio Conte in Naples.
