Earps was surprised at Manchester United's training ground by team-mate Katie Zelem, who presented the keeper with the prize. Earps received a rousing ovation from the rest of the squad before watching congratulatory video messages from England boss Sarina Wiegman and United's legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.

It's been a fairytale 18 months for Earps. After being cast aside by Phil Neville, the United stopper regained her place in the Lionesses squad under Wiegman and has gone on to become a Euro 2022 winner and England's outstanding player in their run to the 2023 World Cup final.
